Yes, You're in The Right Place

You may have noticed lately that my blog has been slow to load or not completely load. In an attempt to remedy the problem I've changed my background. It seems to have helped.

Let me know what you think of my new look.

Happy Birthday to My Blog and a Word about PSDs

Yes! In July this blog turned 1 year old. I'm notorious for forgetting birthdays and it seems I've forgotten my Blog's birthday. Okay, I'll come clean. The only reason I remembered is I saw a blog birthday counter on the web. This made me think about my own blog.

I wonder about blogs and birthdays. Is 1 year, new, middle aged or old? Are there blog years like there are dog years or tekkie years? Anyway, sorry there weren't any giveaways or birthday candles. Maybe next year. Maybe I should get the blog birthday counter.

Okay, on to PSDs. They are great, especially if you have Photoshop Element6 like I do and your program Doesn't support Photoshop actions.

If you have ever spent ages fooling around with lighting you'll like these.
If you want your photos to look like Polaroids, you'll like these.
If you like complex text effects you'll like these.

Here's a few PSDs you can try out. These aren't mine, so make sure to leave a nice comment.

Here's some you'll have to pay for but might like.

Like I said; just a word about PSDs because I've just discovered them and don't know too much.

They can also be a used as a file folder to hold finished designs. An easy way to use them is to open the file and just drag the layers you want from the PSD onto your original, open file. The psd will automatically duplicate that layer, so you don't have to worry about losing the layer you dragged. Clear as mud? Play around with them and search down others. I'm sure you'll love them too.
