Updates

Hi. I found a great widget on http://1stfloorflatcomputery.blogspot.com/
Here it is: http://www.linkwithin.com/learn On their page in a highlighted sentence they say you don't have to sign up. I then had to provide my email address, my blog address and my browser. So, I have added it and it's showing related pages. So far the suggested pages don't relate. Be patient, I'm sure it will all come together.

Sorry, life gets in the way. I'm back again.

To the right of you are a few new links I've just added.  Lower down below my Etsy pics is a note to remind everyone to read a book. Even the junkiest romance novel is better than TV.

Not to say this is the junkiest romance novel;  I haven't read it.  This is a subway advert in London. Not likely to see an advert for a book in North America.

FREE Images

I took a lot of photos in the UK. Some of the photos were taken with the intent of using for star images for photoshopping. So here are a few images.

This is a collage I did using the doorway above as a starter image. Under lighting effects I chose 5 lights down and added a gold colour to the lights.

London, Grunge paper Workshop and sewing Books while Jet lagged.

Don't try this at home.

As mentioned, I signed up for a grunge paper workshop in London, UK at Blade rubber Stamps.

Susie Jefferson from 1st floor flat was teaching.

I have never really appreciated how Jet Lag can mess one up until that day. Needless to say I was not exactly the star student. Add to that, a low blood sugar incident and the elevator music alarm playing on my cellphone (on the other side of the room). :(

I have been assured by Susie that I was not the problem child in the class.  Thank you for your gracious and kind response.

Overall, the workshop was great. I made my book with some (lots of)  help. I learned about grunge paper, making distressed finishes and how to use perfect pearls among other things. Susie has a wealth of knowledge and a great sense of humour. It was also was nice to pick up lots of great info.

Here's the book I made at the workshop with some added alterations.

I was inspired to make another book at home. So here is my experiment.

Notice the perfect pearls on the flower. I also coloured it with Spray Inks.
